Five years can go by in the blink of an eye yet hold so much change.

~The military moves you
When we arrived to our assignment five years ago, it was on the outskirts of the Washington D.C. area. Apartment complexes had 2+ year waiting lists for which they were no longer taking applicant. The only two homes we found for rent were priced at the equivalent of our entire month’s income. We found a beautiful home for sale within our budget and closed in less than a month.
One year ago, we listed that house, knowing we would move in early 2011. This began the frustrating process of selling a home in today’s America.
3 Prices, 2 Realtors and 1 Offer later…we are no longer homeowners.
Today the papers were signed. Agreements were reached, money exchanged and we are very, very, very (did I say VERY) happy that someone else became a homeowner today.
Praise be to the LORD,
for he has heard my cry for mercy.
The LORD is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him.
Thank you to each and every person who has prayed for us in this journey, they have been answered with grace and are accepted with gratitude.
Have you sold a home in the last few years? Do you have tips for others in the process or questions for us?
