Several years ago, SkipperClan put his Excel skills to use and created a document with recipes that worked well for our family. We have added and deleted meals over time, but keep going back to it when we need to switch things up a bit.
February is going to be one crazy, busy month for our Clan.
I knew the only way we were going to have dinner at home together was if I came up with a plan for the month. Since I had the list to start from, it really only took a few minutes to decide which dinners we could make.
Here’s what I am not doing:
- I am not expecting the plan to go exactly the way it is on paper right now
- I am not trying any new, elaborate main dishes this month
- I am not planning on eating out any night for dinner
Here’s what I am doing:
- I am repeating one dish three times through the month
- I am planning most meals around meat we already have on hand
- I am planning a few easy dinners: slow cook, breakfast
- I am mixing a few styles into the month: Mexican, Chinese, American, Italian
- I am trying a few new side dishes, breakfast foods, and snacks
I wanted to share the plan today so that it might help you avoid the 5 o’clock craziness. In time, I hope to add links where I can but many of these are meals you can easily find recipes for with a simple search. Bon appetit!
