Military Spouse Appreciation Day

Welcome to SkipperClan

If you stopped by from the blog hop with Household6Diva and RC of Riding the Roller Coaster, I’m happy to meet you. If you are a regular reader, here’s the scoop: today is Military Spouse Appreciation Day and a few of us thought we would introduce ourselves to you and each other.

What is SkipperClan?

SkipperClan is a name my Air Force man nicknamed our little family when he was researching our family genealogy. SkipperClan is a place where we share our family stories, strategies, and skills so you can find ways to enjoy family life even more. Whether or not you face the challenges of the military lifestyle, we believe we share common ground in the areas of parenting, living simply, and reaching our dreams. We love to review products that help families succeed in these areas. What we love more than anything is to hear what you think about what you read here, so make sure to leave a comment or contact us.

The Writer

My name is Tammy and I’m the one putting keyboard to screen around here most of the time. I have been around the world as an Air Force spouse but we are currently living in the Pacific Northwest. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, and together we are navigating the teenage years with our two kids. I hold a Bachelor’s in Business Management and Leadership and am self employed as a Beauty Consultant. I enjoy reading, photography and whatever adventure SkipperClan {the man} wants to try next. My goal at SkipperClan is to encourage and empower women with practical strategies for life. You can find me on almost every form of social media that exists, just check out the sidebar for links.

Favorite Posts

One of my favorite things to share is encouragement, this post for young moms really struck a cord with readers. I also like to share practical suggestions like the weekly cleaning routine I use. This year I’m tracking my goals with the 3 in 30 bloggers too.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog during the hop—sorry it took me so long to get over here…better late than never, though! On my blog you mentioned you were at Aviano—too cool! We’re here now and while i wish we were staying the full three years, my husband’s squadron is being closed down, so it’ll only be a year plus some change that we’ll be out here. I’m definitely soaking it up as much as possible, though!

Great to meet you! Stopping by from Allume.com Great blog! We are now a retired Army family…missing the moves, but since living in D.C. get to reconnect with old friends who get reassigned to the metro area.
