Monday Motivation {Eat Your Frog}

For many people, Monday is bad enough without adding the idea of eating a frog.

There’s an old saying that states, “If the first thing you do in the morning is eat a live frog, nothing worse can happen to you the rest of the day.”

While I personally prefer not to even have something as bad as eating a live frog happen to me, the application is that our week can be enjoyable if we tackle the difficult tasks on Monday. I think this is critical for those of us who work from home.

Get Monday off to a great start by setting an appointment each week for Monday morning, whether you telecommute, have a home based business, or homeschool.

Right now I am working towards health goals so my gym time on Monday morning is non-negotiable. I have weekly training for my business each Monday night. When our children were doing their school work from home, we put off chores and other tasks until school was off to a good start for the day. Now that I am typically home alone during the week, Monday is my day to pickup from the weekend and plan meals for the week.

Make Mondays work for you instead of approaching them with dread. When you tackle the harder tasks first, Monday can be a day that brings a true sense of accomplishment.

How do you tackle the hard tasks on your to do list?
