3 in 30 Week 27 Update

It seems like it has been forever since I blogged! Oh wait…

Hey, what can I say? Sometimes you’ve just got to be out there living life instead of writing about living life. Amen? Amen.

I am happy to report my June goals wrapped up successfully!

Read for 30 Minutes Per Day

Well, not exactly but I did finish several books throughout the month which was the reason I chose this goal, so done!

Now it’s time to finally set my July goals.

We started the month of by going camping for several days and I’ll be finishing the month with nearly two weeks of travel. That means this could be the most challenging month for me so far. It also happens to be the beginning of a new year for my business goals and the midpoint of the calendar year. I am big on tracking which means I have spent some time reviewing the goals I set for myself for 2012. While I’ve accomplished a lot, I also have lots of things that have seen little progress. I also realized in reviewing them, that I never published my entire list of goals for the year on the blog. Instead of doing that now, I think it will be simpler to keep with my previous pattern of sharing the three I’m focusing on each month. After carefully considering my Finish Year goals, I’ve chosen the following.

Create a Digital Scrapbook of 2011

Traveling means that a paper scrapbook goal is absurd, yet I have made no progress in this area for the year. I am going to try the digital option since I’ll have my laptop (photos) and internet (creative platform) no matter where I’m traveling.

Workout 3 Times Weekly with No Weight Gain

All the traveling I’ll be doing will be a huge test for my health goals. I really would like to lose 5 pounds this month and I’m getting systems in place to help that goal become a reality. I am balancing that with the awareness that my travel will mean a lot more sedentary days than normal.

Plan Meals and Home Maintenance for the Month

I want to plan for meals while I am away. My husband is an excellent cook, but I do the shopping and would like to have most of the purchases and menu taken care of for him. I’ll also be returning immediately before family comes to visit, so I want to adapt my normal cleaning routines for the rest of the family to handle in my absence. I’ve already cleaned out and reorganized the pantry this week to help get this goal going.

3in30 ChallengeUltimately, my July goals are about enjoying my time with family and friends. Who are you spending time with this month?

Good job with your June goals! And I’m impressed that you’ve set goals for this month considering that you’re not going to be home for most of it. I would have taken the month off. But you set realistic goals, and I’m sure you can attain them!
