The biggest reason I don’t want to write this update is it means we are that much closer to the end of summer.
Since I cannot just hide my head under my paws, guess I better accept the fact that our summer temperatures are gone and fall is sneaking in the back door. At least it’s my favorite season!
Maximize our Travel and Family Time
While I have already considered this goal complete, I can’t help but try to make the most of each week before the kids go back to school. SkipperClanJr had a campout for a few days so I had some fun with KitKat. No major outings but we definitely enjoyed a little tv, some sweet treats, and general hanging out this week. I still hope to get in a kayak somehow before our highs are only in the 60s and to make it to the Tacoma Glass Museum while it’s still free for the military.
Adjust Back to Our Normal Schedules
As of today, the not-so-littles are done with summer groups, camps, and similar adventures for the summer. I already started working with my daughter and she’s been getting up by 8am this week. We will probably move the clock back a few minutes each day for the last week of August with a goal of getting up by 7am. The following week we will work to 630, so that by the time school starts they can manage the 530am wake-up time necessary for them to catch the bus. SkipperClanJr will probably be getting up by 630 next week since he’s always been a morning person…KitKat and I will be relishing every last summer ‘morning’ we can squeeze in before Labor Day.
Meet With 50 Customers
This goal is for the company’s 50th anniversary and I met with a couple more ladies this week. Looking more and more like I will need until the official deadline (September 13) to reach this goal given our schedule – but I believe it will happen!
I am already starting a master task list for the fall, I’m not sure how I’ll narrow down my list to three for September. Are you ready for fall?
