Nearly nineteen years of military service. Moves on three continents. Homes is a dozen places. Schools that must be counted on both hands. Every move holding possibility.
Now we are thinking ahead. What career is in his future. What work will inspire him? Where do we see the welcome mat landing?
The possibilities, infinite. The future, open. Wide.
What advice do you have for us as we consider moving from military life to the civilian world?

I can only imagine the transition that will be. Advice…budget? Stuff is more expensive at Wal-Mart than the PX…Isn’t that what you call it?
Oh, the future wide open with possibility. Possibility–I like that word. I will carry this thought with me tomorrow. I adore your photo. Advice? Wow–I know nothing about the military–whatever job your husband pursues–insurance is extremely important–has been for our family–and getting connected with a small group in a church now that you will no longer be connected with the military in an intimate way–you will need “family”. Blessings on your new venture.
Oh girl! Your bring back many memories. We served our country 23 years before my hubby retired. I totally get the WIDE! It will be beautiful. You will be blessed. Thanks for warming my heart, but thank you more for what you and your family sacrifice for our country! Blessings.
Wow! The future really is incredibly wide for you! Three different continents? Girl, you are amazing.
The possibilities truly are infinite and covered in His care! Can’t wait to see where He leads.
Oh the days of youth where you have nothing but possibilities in front of you! Blessings in your wide!
Your whole future stands wide open in front of you. How exciting! Stopping over from the Five Minute Friday!
Oh, I’m excited for this transition. The opportunities are wide open and He certainly has a plan for you and your family. Follow, believing and trusting. We’ll be cheering you on and praying for you:))
Wow, this is encouraging. Thanks for the post.
Nicely written.
No military advice, but I’ve moved a bunch too. Our moves have been different in that you don’t automatically go into a community that you are part of, like the military. My first piece of advice would be that where ever you land seek out a good church and get connected. Then determine in your heart and mind to bloom where you are planted.
I’m so blessed to have “met” you, hope that everything works to meet you soon and know that I’m praying for your family through everything.
I see houses and a flag. Your heart is rooted in this nation and in the Lord. May the glory of God bless you beyond measure for all your service. The Lord is calling you into his service – how that will be He will reveal to you. Pray for guidance and He will answer you. Don’t look to the right or the left, follow His lead. Bless you!
