Two years ago, I finished over 100 books. Clearly, I enjoy reading. Last year I did not enjoy nearly as many books. I set a goal to read 50 books this year to be more consistent.
Starting with a list of 20 specific books gives me flexibility to add new releases and books recommended by friends. Speaking of, what books you think I should add?
- What the Most Successful People Do on the Weekend
- Thou Shall Prosper
- 48 Days to the Work You Love
- Living a Rich Life
- Crazy Love
- Blue Like Jazz
- Boundaries with Teens
- Girl Meets God
- How Full Is Your Bucket
- Living Beyond The Limits
- The Duck Commander Family: How Faith, Family, and Ducks Built a Dynasty
- His Needs, Her Needs
- The Spirit-Controlled Woman
- Seasons of a Mother’s Heart
- The “Do What You Can” Plan
- A Year of Biblical Womanhood
- Unglued
- You Are a Writer
- Platform
- Extraordinary Patriots of the United States of America

I LOVE to read too! A past time that has, unfortunately, fallen by the wayside a bit since I have several small children. I only finish about 12-20 books a year now…however, I do have SEVERAL recommendations!
Redeeming Childbirth
http://www.redeemingchildbirth.com
No matter what stage of motherhood you are in, this book is wonderful. It talks about focusing on Christ through pregnancy, and birth, and for Mom’s that are done having children, ways that we can mentor new mom’s and mom’s to be!
Desperate

This book is lovely too. It is aimed at bringing young moms, and seasoned mothers together so that the young mom’s are not alone, and have positive mentors and relationships to help them through the little years.
1000 gifts if you haven’t already read that

Praying God’s Word For Your Husband

I would also recommend reading some classics… you can’t go wrong with some Jane Austen!
Happy Reading!
Thanks for the great recommendations! I am looking forward to reading Desperate (although I reallllly don’t like the title) and I loved One Thousand Gifts {http://skipperclan.com/2011/11/16/one-thousand-gifts/}. I have considered trying to finish Les Miserables this year for ‘classic’ literature. While I’ve read and enjoyed much classic writing, can you believe I’ve never gotten through one of Austen’s books?
