Don’t Believe the Doubt

I’ve been so inspired by people around me over the last few weeks.

  • A friend facing major surgery and a cancer diagnosis with humor and a humble request for prayer.
  • Women accomplishing leadership roles with grace and by building others up to a place of success.
  • A small group of internet friends rallying to hold each other accountable for health and fitness goals. {It’s getting real in that group, it’s what we need}
  • A woman sending her husband off to serve around the world while she is left at home to raise their family, run the home, and work the full time schedule.
  • A team of strangers working behind the scenes to help an author launch his new book.

Life is fascinating. It’s encouraging. It’s suprising. It’s hard. It’s beautiful. It’s scary.

I just wanted to take a few moments to say, pursue all of it. Don’t believe the doubt. It wants to be the small voice you react to, it keeps your dream from being the blessing to others that it will be when you push through the doubt.

If God has placed a dream on your heart, rely on the promise in James and know that God will provide wisdom to those who seek it.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. - James 1:5-6

Seek it. Act upon it. Don’t believe the doubt, act from the discipline and a place of faith.
