I cannot think of a better book to share with you during my 31 Days of Encouragement series than Simply Tuesday by Emily Freeman. {And I thought I’d be super creative and post about the book on…Tuesday}

During my hiatus from writing here for you, I have definitely been reading some excellent books – including this one. I listened via Audible but I think I’ll be ordering the print version to highlight and share often with others.Simply Tuesday at SkipperClan

I feel like a broken record to say this but, we have faced a lot of change over the last two years. Moving, military retirements, kids in college, and one of them getting married just to name a few. It has definitely felt like our world was fast-moving and extra challenging to try to enjoy the small moments.

Emily’s writing style is beautiful to me. She writes to you as if she is meeting you over coffee. She doesn’t claim to have all the answers, she just shares what she has experienced. Some of her insights helped me realize that not every challenge has a solution, and maybe it doesn’t even need one!

I do find it a little challenging to follow the arc of some of the chapters, but I think the meandering of thoughts is part of what I love about her style. Sometimes the chapters give you concrete ideas to implement, and sometimes they just make you think about the topics on a deeper level.

If you are looking for a book that makes you feel like a fellow sister in Christ has curled up on the couch next to you for some time to catch up and refocus, I highly recommend Simply Tuesday.
